YOUR CITY: Leeds shone brightly for ‘Multicoloured Monday’!

Leeds Mind charity turned 'Blue Monday' on it's head this year and instead replaced 'the most depressing day of the year' as 'Multicolored Monday' in an attempt to spread a message of hope and positivity!
Mind recognised that feelings of depression are not dictated by date so re-branded the day to initiate fun, positivity and light among the Leeds community. They wanted to challenge the myth of 'Blue Monday' and raise awareness of depression and how it affects those living with it.
Residents were encouraged to dress in bright colours and landmarks around the city were illuminated with shades of pink, green, orange and more!
Buildings such as the First Direct Arena, Leeds City museum and Leeds Town Hall took part in the celebration.
Let's take a look at some of the lovely sights.
