OFFSIDE: Diagne equaliser chalked off by assistant
A late Mbaye Diagne goal looked to have given a lifeline to West Brom in their game with Everton until the offside flag ruled it out.
Diagne showed great composure to control and finish inside the area with minutes left.
However, the assistant raised their flag and the goal was disallowed.
VAR was called in and the dreaded line drawing confirmed the decision.
Everton had taken the lead earlier when Richarlison headed home inside the six-yard box.
The Baggies defended the initial corner, but Gylfi Sigurdsson whipped in a perfect cross at the second attempt.
Relegation seems certain now for Sam Allardyce for the first time in his managerial career.
Meanwhile, Everton temporarily climbed into the top four before Chelsea beat Liverpool.
