RAGING WARNOCK: Refs bare brunt of criticism from Boro boss Warnock

Neil Warnock was raging at the decision to award Swansea a penalty in stoppage time which saw Boro lose 2-1.

The Boro boss was seething after the final whistle when he confronted the officials on the pitch.

Referee Gavin Ward had initially signalled for a corner kick before changing his decision to a penalty.

He deemed that George Saville's challenge on Jake Bidwell was enough for a penalty.

Andre Ayew slotted him the spot-kick in the 97th minute to pick up all three points.

It was Ayew who scored the games opening goal before half-time to give the home side the lead.

Yet Boro thought they'd stolen a point after a last gasp goal approaching the final whistle.

The equaliser in the 91st minute from Sam Morsy had left the Swans goalkeeper helpless.

Raging at referees

Warnock was raging at an earlier decision to disallow Marc Bola's goal.

The referee deemed there was a foul in the build-up but replays showed Yannick Bolasie won the ball in his challenge.

Boro sit ninth in the Championship following this defeat.
