CAPITAL PUNISHMENT: Leeds lose yet again in London
Leeds’ capital curse continued as the Whites fell to a 2-0 defeat against West Ham at the London Stadium.
First half goals from Jesse Lingard and Craig Dawson put the Hammers out of reach and boosted their hopes of finishing in the top four.
For Marcelo Bielsa’s side, that’s now 16 games without a win in London and Leeds fans will be wondering if they’ll ever see their side win in the capital again.
Whilst fears of relegation are long gone, Leeds have now lost four out of their last five league games and have slipped to 11th in the league.
Leeds found the net twice before falling behind but were denied by the intervention of VAR.
First, Tyler Roberts' finish was ruled out for a marginal offside against Helder Costa in the build-up.
Then, some great work by Raphinha to find Patrick Bamford in the area was undone when replays suggested he had ran the ball out of play before Bamford found the net.
“In the second half, we defended well and attacked well, and I think barring those 30 minutes we were superior.
"As we can't ignore that 30 minutes, my conclusion is we played better in the second half than they did in the first half - the differences in the first half were smaller than in the second half."
