Two of the UK's most prominent Festivals for young people return like never before from the 26th March 2021, available to watch at home!
INDI's Festival 2021:
The 9th INDIs Festival, dedicated to emerging filmmakers and film lovers, returns for 2021 for the first time entirely online, from 26 March to 30 April, to inspire and help shape the future of the film industry.
Spanning three weekends of digital screenings of the best in new independent cinema, free masterclasses including script and story sessions from the makers of Four Lions and Waterloo Road, hands-on workshops with Nikon and trailblazing events, you can schedule your own Festival across the entire month.
With a huge range of guests from productions including Harry Potter, Batman Begins, Sex Education and Peep Show, the Festival has been programmed and designed by young creators, with the intent of championing young and independent filmmaking that breaks down the door, never-mind getting a foot in it.
With special events and masterclasses across the whole month, young and emerging creators can access the most distinguished professionals in their field alongside independent and freelance makers who are ascending the career ladder.
From video games nights to an all-embracing overview of post production, featuring premieres of indie titles such as You Cannot Kill David Arquette with special guest David Arquette!
Leeds Young Film Festival:
Following last year's interrupted 21st edition, the UK's largest family film event returns online this spring for a whole month. Experience the magic of the 22nd Leeds Young Film Festival from your living room, with premieres of the very best in family film from around the world available for the first time in the comfort of your own home for you to watch when you want.
Leeds Young Film Festival runs from the 29th March until the 30th of April 2021.
If you've missed venturing into Leeds city centre and visiting The Carriageworks Theatre, you can immerse yourself in a groundbreaking virtual recreation of the Festival experience with a Minecraft cinema in a Minecraft Millennium Square.
There is also a chance to earn an Arts Award Discovery at Home certificate, join the giant virtual jury and vote for your favourite films of the festival, as well as learning some top tips for making your own films at home to boot.
