Bradford-based Morrisons is aiming to remove all plastic carrier bags from its stores over the next 12 months by offering a paper alternative.

The chain says the switch will make it the first UK supermarket to stop using plastic carrier bags completely.

Plans to create a hard-surfaced BMX biking track in Seacroft are set to be discussed by Leeds City Council. The plans have been met with a mixture of objection and support from locals and are due to be discussed on Thursday the 15th of April.
