‘LET MY MUM DOWN’: Prince William slams BBC in blistering attack on Bashir’s Diana interview
The future king of England, Prince William, has condemned the BBC for fuelling Diana’s “fear, paranoia and isolation” in the final years of her life.
While Prince Harry has said the BBC’s “exploitation and unethical practices ultimately took Diana, Princess of Wales’ life” as he hit out at the corporation’s role in the Martin Bashir interview with his mother.
It comes after a damning report found “rogue reporter” Bashir had faked bank statements and used “deceitful behaviour” to trick Diana into giving the infamous interview.
The false documents gave the impression associates of the royal family were selling stories to newspapers.
The report revealed the BBC had “covered up” Bashir’s sensational lies “without justification”. Do you think the BBC were responsible for the events that led to Diana’s death?
