SUMMER HOLIDAYS: Many choosing to stay in the UK this year
Spain, Portugal and Greece are set to open their borders to vaccinated Brits from June, as ministers rush through their plans to launch Covid passports in time for the start of non-
essential foreign travel on 17 May.
The number of people vaccinated with one jab in the UK has reached 33 million, with 10 million having both doses already. It comes as new research from the University of Bristol suggests Brits aren’t quite ready to fly, with almost 60% saying they intend to fly less after having the vaccine. What are your plans for summer?
Local TV sent out our camera teams to ask members of the public, Where are you planning to go on holiday to this year?
Daily COVID-19 Vaccinations
This NHS publication shows the total number of COVID-19 vaccinations administered in England and reported by midnight of the previous date.
These data are published to ensure timely reporting of the most up to date operational statistics so there will be a slight undercount as more data is reported in the coming days for that period. The data includes all individuals who have been vaccinated, even if they do not have an NHS number or are no longer in the resident population.
This publication includes breakdowns of vaccinations by:
- First and second doses (cumulative totals)
- NHS Region of residence
