PLAYING PRINCIPLES: Leeds’ style of play is reaping rewards
When Leeds United entered the Premier League, questions about how they'd play at the top level were asked.
Would Marcelo Bielsa stick to his principles? Or would they evolve and learn to close shop when needed?
It was the former, as Bielsa's side have in no way sacrificed their playing style for the jump up in quality.
In fact, on day one of their campaign, Leeds went toe-to-toe with champions Liverpool and almost upset them at Anfield.
They earned praise galore from pundits everywhere for their adventurous tactics from then on.
There was a moment where fans did glance over their shoulder at the relegation zone after a poor run of form around the turn of the year.
However, those fears have been quashed as, after they beat Crystal Palace, they climb up to 10th in the table.
On this week's Bremner Square podcast (full episode available here), Jonny, Max and Kieran discussed how the playing style has helped the team climb this high.
